Careers at the IPN

In the spirit of its commitment to supporting the next generation of experts in its fields of study, the IPN offers numerous researchers the opportunity to further their academic careers, be it through a doctorate, a postdoctoral position or an assistant professorship, or in a junior research group, and to get ready to take  the next step in their research journeys. We hold certification as a family-friendly institute and work with the childcare provider AWO to make daycare places for children yet to reach school age available to staff members resident in Kiel.

If you are from outside Germany and would like to conduct doctoral research at the IPN, we encourage you to get in touch with us. You should hold a Master’s degree in a subject relevant to our research fields and be willing to learn the German language.

The IPN does not offer undergraduate programs. If you are interested in studying for a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree, please contact Kiel University.
